Dr V K Singh has acquired his doctorate in Geology from IIT-BHU, followed by Post Doctoral Fellowship in Rock Mechanics & Mining from SIU, Carbondale, USA. He has more than thirty five years of experience in the field and has contributed at the highest level as Chief Scientist at Central Institute of Mining & Fuel at IIT- Dhanbad. He is a fellow of more then seven Professional societies such as Indian National Science Congress, The Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute, Indian Society of remote sensing, International Society for Rock Mechanics to name a few. He has copyright of various software’s relating to rock mass rating, fire interpretation diagnosis, fire simulation modelling, etc. He has also published more than 50 papers in various journals on International repute. He has led various projects at national and international field in his area of expertise.
